Product Description

Product Introduction

VIP1-1B-03 is a single-phase 3A EMI power filter rated for 115/250VAC with 50/60Hz operating frequency. It features ultra-low leakage current design, with maximum leakage current of only 2uA under 115VAC/60Hz and 5uA under 250VAC/50Hz. This single-stage filter can run reliably across a wide temperature range from -25℃ to 100℃. It undergoes strict 2000VAC line-to-ground hi-pot test and maintains insulation resistance above 100M ohm at 500VDC. It effectively suppresses both common-mode and differential-mode electromagnetic interference on power lines to guarantee stable and secure equipment operation.

Application & Purpose

This EMI power filter is widely deployed for PLC, servo drives, inverters and other industrial automation machinery. Its core purpose is to filter high-frequency electromagnetic noise and power harmonics existing on AC power lines. It prevents unexpected equipment misoperation and abnormal shutdown caused by power interference, assists finished products in passing EMC compliance tests, and ensures the long-term stable operation of automated production systems.

FAQ

  1. Q: What will happen if input and output wires of the filter are bundled together A: Bundling input and output cables will create distributed capacitance. High-frequency noise can bypass the filter through this coupling path and greatly weaken the overall noise suppression performance.
  2. Q: How does the operating temperature affect the service life of the filter A: High ambient temperature accelerates aging of internal capacitors and insulating materials. Operating within the specified temperature range helps retain stable filtering performance and extend the service life of the filter.
  3. Q: What is the working principle of common-mode inductor inside the filter A: The common-mode inductor winds two wires in the same direction. It generates high impedance to block common-mode noise while allowing normal differential-mode working current to pass through smoothly.
  4. Q: Why should we keep the filter as close as possible to the equipment power inlet A: Long wiring between the filter and equipment inlet will introduce new noise coupling. Noise will re-enter the circuit and reduce the filtering effect even if the filter itself works normally.
  5. Q: Can the filter still work well after long time continuous operation A: It supports long continuous operation under rated conditions. Regular inspection of insulation and grounding status can help maintain consistent filtering performance and discover hidden risks early.
